KEY STEP TOWARDS AN ELABORATE ON RESERVES

In the construction of future energy, every step towards sustainability is crucial. In this context, the City of Lipik, together with partners GeoCamp Iceland ehf and the company Izvori Lipika d.o.o., is performing hydrodynamic testing of the Lipik GT-9 well, preparing the ground for the creation of the Elaborate on Reserves.

Previous documentation, which includes the analysis and processing of available well data valued at €8,500 and the design of the Lipik GT-9 geothermal well project with hydrodynamic measurement valued at €22,000, laid the groundwork for this crucial step in researching and developing geothermal energy in Lipik.

The project is financed from the EEA Financial Mechanism in the period from 2014 to 2021, within the Program “Energy and Climate Change”, which shows the commitment of partners in the development of sustainable energy. The total value of the project is €243,538.45, of which the total eligible costs are €201,407.68. This significant financial commitment reflects the importance of the project not only for the local community, but also for the wider environment.

The hydrodynamic testing of the Lipik GT-9 well, performed by Vis Viva GSM d.o.o., represents a key step towards understanding the potential of geothermal energy in this area.

The mayor Vinko Kasana also visited the site, stating that the City of Lipik, together with its partners, continues its commitment to introducing sustainable and clean energy sources, contributing to and ensuring energy security for future generations.
